George Clooney Rapped for Wisecrack About Alzheimer's

 

Film star George Clooney Actor has been roundly criticized for reportedly making fun at a public event of Charlton Heston's battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

New York Post columnist Liz Smith reported that while Clooney was accepting an award from the National Board of Review, he said that "Charlton Heston announced again today that he is suffering from Alzheimer's."

Cable news show host Bill O'Reilly was among those critizing Clooney, saying "I believe most Americans will find these remarks mean-spirited."

O'Reilly also sounded off at the fact that Clooney's comments had not sparked more outrage..

"Just imagine if someone mocked Christopher Reeve's paralysis," O'Reilly added. "The Hollywood press and the elite media would go nuts, but very little has been said about Clooney's insensitivity."
