New Fact Sheets Available for Alzheimer Caregivers

The Family Caregiver Alliance has released new Fact Sheets for caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer's disease and other chronic disorders.

The Fact Sheet "Caregiving and Depression" discusses how the demands of caregiving can lead to feelings of exhaustion, isolation, and ultimately, clinical depression, and offers advice on how caregivers and their families can recognize the symptoms and seek appropriate treatment.

The San Francisco-based organization also has updated the Fact Sheets "Alzheimer's disease" and "Early-Stage Alzheimer's disease." All Fact Sheets include contact information for helpful resources and recommended reading lists for families and healthcare providers.

The Fact Sheets are available free on FCA's website, at http://www.caregiver.org/factsheet.html.
